Support at Home: Aged Care Reform - Home Care Assistance Sydney East

Support at Home Update | Delayed Until November 2025

The Australian Government has confirmed a short delay to the Support at Home program and the Aged Care Act 2024. These reforms were due to begin on 1 July 2025, but will now come into effect on 1 November 2025.

Why the Delay?

This adjustment comes after extensive feedback from aged care providers and sector experts who called for more preparation time. The additional months will allow organisations like Home Care Assistance Sydney East to ensure our team, systems, and clients are fully prepared for a smooth and successful transition.

What You Need to Know

  • Your current care and funding arrangements remain unchanged
  • The new Support at Home program will now launch on 1 November 2025
  • We’ll continue to keep you informed and supported every step of the way

These upcoming reforms are designed to deliver more coordinated, personalised, and flexible care—helping older Australians stay healthy and independent at home.
