Our carers provide support with basic activities of daily living and also have the training and experience to support those living with certain conditions such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s. Carers are also experienced in supporting a successful transition home from the hospital or a rehab facility.
The Federal Government has continued to invest in reducing wait times for older Australians, with 83,000 additional Support at Home places released during the 2025–26 financial year.
This year, a further 32,000 Support at Home places will be released throughout 2026–27, helping more older Australians access their approved funding and begin receiving the care and support they need at home.
